In Suriname, we have worked on several projects where the demanding terrain required alternative solutions.
In one project, we needed to deliver electrical panels, cables, and batteries to a location only accessible via the country’s intricate river system.
Here, canoes became the solution, helping us ensure that the materials arrived safely—even in areas where traditional transport methods were not an option.
In another project in Suriname, the challenge was different. The final supplies were flown in by helicopter to reach a remote site, a critical task given the area’s inaccessibility by road. The terrain posed significant obstacles, making traditional delivery methods impractical. Working in such isolated areas requires both ingenuity and collaboration with local teams to find practical solutions and ensure successful delivery. It involved constant coordination between the project managers, helicopter crews, and local teams to assess the weather conditions, manage logistics, and ensure the safe transport of the supplies. The team’s ability to adapt to the environment and collaborate effectively was crucial to overcoming these challenges and achieving project success.
